Aarluk Consulting / Nunavut Territorial Parks –
Clyde River Cultural Resource Inventory - in the Clyde River area of Nunavut
Working with local contractor to provide GIS services, a geodatabase was created to meet the GIS needs of this project. Data was transferred from maps and spreadsheets into the geodatabase to allow for various queries and analysis by Parks staff and consultants. Spreadsheet data was imported into pre-designed ArcGIS attribute tables and linked to the spatial data that was transferred from hardcopy maps into various feature classes within the Geodatabase. The client was provided with the ability to add to the various data sets in the future and to analyze the collected information from the Cultural Resource Inventory completed by the local contractor.
Aldershot Resources Ltd.
Spectral Analysis Mapping
Produced various claims maps showing geological data, and spectral analysis images showing specific minerals. This project involved the creation of a database linked to geographic locations. An average of ten different map types were produced for each of the six areas.

Environment Canada
Forest Ecosystem Mapping
The interpretation of sensitive ecosystems and wet forest ecosystems using MicroStation and DiAP Viewer (Digital Photogrammetric System). Polygons were created and attributes attached to each of them, shape files and a database was created from this data for viewing with ArcGIS software.
Gwaii Haanas National Park
Digital Orthophoto Mapping
This project includes the control, soft copy aerial triangulation, and digital orthophotos at one metre pixel resolution covering the park on the Queen Charlotte Islands.

Engineering Mapping
Provided aerial photography, softcopy aerial triangulation, softcopy photogrammetric data capture with one metre contours, cartographic editing and digital orthophotos at scale of 1:1,000. For the future site of Sage Hills University located in the Comox Valley.
Island Timberlands
Digital Orthophoto Mapping
This project includes the control, soft copy aerial triangulation, and digital orthophotos at one metre pixel resolution covering 90% of Island Timberlands private lands, for a total of 253 BCGS sheets.

Compilation of digital elevation models (DEM), one metre contours, cross sections, proposed pit location and volume computation.

Engineering Mapping of Golf Course
This project required precise mapping to assess the application of low impact development techniques, with groundwater recharge to maintain or improve base flows in the sensitive river system. We produced aerial photography, aerial triangulation, base mapping with 0.5 metre contour intervals and digital orthophotos as a backdrop for future work.

This project included control, soft copy aerial triangulation, digital orthophotos and preset viewer models for over 150 BCGS sheets across British Columbia
Terrain Resource Information Management (TRIM II) Mapping
Softcopy aerial triangulation, softcopy photogrammetric data capture, cartographic editing and digital orthophotos at the scale of 1:20,000 with DEM for over 500 mapsheets though out the Province of British Columbia.
Bark Beetle Mapping
The delineation of the bark beetle red attack areas in the South East portion of British Columbia and the Mackenzie, Peace River areas. This work includes the softcopy aerial triangulation of over 2886 1:30,000 photographs, digital mapping of the red attacked trees and producing a GIS data set containing the tree types, the polygon area and tree count. The major concern for this project is the tight time frame. The photographs are flown July through September and the final mapping completed by early October the same year.

Digital Topographic Mapping
