Digital Orthophotos
Global Geomatics Ltd. has an external inventory of precise colour digital orthophotos covering Central Vancouver Island. Some of the applications these can be used for: land development, environmental assessment, urban management and planning purposes.
They are available at 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 metre pixel ground resolution, and are geo-referenced to the Nad 83 UTM plane projection.

Weyerhaeuser Company Ltd. has an inventory of black and white and colour digital orthophotos covering all of their operating areas. Global Geomatics Ltd. is the 'authorized distributor' for most of these areas. They are available at 1.0 metre pixel ground resolution and are georeferenced to the Nad 83 UTM plane projection.
Street Maps
Global Geomatics Ltd. can produce full colour up to date street maps with orthophoto coverage in the background, for example the Town of Qualicum Beach and the City of Parksville. The maps consist of: a complete street index, business directory, churches, school and amenities locations and a zoomed in area of the Town's/City's Downtown Shopping Area.
